A FIVE DAY ITINERARY

DAY 1

Arrival & Transfer 

Laughter, color, costumes and great music – and that’s just from your balcony! The possibilities are endless in New Orleans – A parade down Bourbon Street, carriage rides on St. Charles, a jazz serenade on the Mississippi River or a crawfish boil party – The spirit of the New Orleans people is unbreakable. A few days and you will leave in a Big Easy state of mind.

Upon arrival at the airport, the group will be met by the guide who will escort the group to their hotel by private motor coach.

New Orleans offers a unique experience in every season, from the endless Mardi Gras festivities of spring to the relatively quiet fall months.

French Quarter Pub Crawl 

Did you know that the term “cocktail” was coined in New Orleans? That’s right! Take a tour through some of the old and established
drinking holes in the French Quarter and sample some of the adult beverages that helped make New Orleans famous.

DAY 2

History and Mystery Tour

This morning will be one of history and mystery in New Orleans as you learn the ins and outs of the most European city in the United States as well as learn about the devastation caused by hurricane Katrina. As you walk down the quaint streets named for the saints and sinners of the city’s European past you will see the legacy of the different cultures and architectural styles that blend to create this very unique neighborhood.
During the tour the guests will visit Café du Monde – the former site where slaves were bought and sold – but now is a café where you can experience famous beignets and café au lait.

You then continue to an area and narration specific to Hurricane Katrina. The tour travels to the Ninth Ward, one of many New Orleans neighborhoods devastated by the flooding caused by multiple levee breaks.

Brunch at Court of Two Sisters

This tour continues with the famous Brunch at Court of Two Sisters including live music. It is world renowned for its daily Jazz Brunch
which features a buffet with over 60 items in a casual, warm atmosphere either inside or outside in one of most famous and beautiful
courtyards in the French Quarter.

After brunch enjoy the Captain's narration of the highlights of one of the world’s busiest ports while enjoying jazz music. See
the site of the Battle of New Orleans where Jean Lafitte and his team joined forces with Andrew Jackson to defeat the British in The Battle of New Orleans.

DAY 3

Garden District Tour

Explore one of the world's most dazzling residential neighborhoods. Settled in the 1850’s by successful entrepreneurs — the “nouveau riche” of that time. Experience the architectural splendor of the live oak-tree lined "American" sector of town and examine the antebellum era "Creole vs. American" conflict.
Lunch included at the famous Commanders Palace Restaurant -Since 1880, Commander's Palace has been a New Orleans landmark known for the award winning quality of its food and many commodious dining rooms.

Cooking Classes

In the afternoon the group can enjoy a unique New Orleans experience, a hands on cooking class.These cooking classes are custom designed to meet the food preference of the group. The guests actually cut, cook and prepare a complete dinner with one of our expert chefs, and afterwards they are able to sit down and enjoy the meal they have just created. These classes include preparation of 4 menu items, the recipes, a New Orleans School of Cooking Apron, as well as, House Red and White wines, Abita Beer, iced tea, water and coffee.
