Thanksgiving in New York City

Itinerary
Day 1 Tuesday November 25th
· Meet & greet on arrival at the airport or at the Courtyard by Marriott New
York Times Square (114 West 40th Street. NY, NY 10018)
· Guide will assist with check-in
· Group welcome dinner at a local restaurant of your choosing
Day 2 Wednesday November 26th
· Full American Breakfast at the hotel
· Meet your guide and walk to Macy’s Herald Square to admire the festive window
displays, a New York tradition since the 1870s.
· Walk to the Summit One Vanderbilt. SUMMIT One Vanderbilt, an observatory set
atop the tallest commercial skyscraper in Midtown Manhattan (1,401 feet, 427
meters), ups the ante on the NYC observatory experience through art installations,
glass ledges and an outdoor terrace.
· Admission to Summit One Vanderbilt
· Explore Grand Central Terminal. Enjoy a brief orientation tour of this historic
depot, followed by a seafood lunch at the legendary Grand Central Oyster Bar.
· Explore the European-inspired Christmas Market at Bryant Park, which features
artisans from around the world. Warm up with a cup of mulled wine or hot
chocolate, then discover the local crafts and artisanal food.
· Return to the hotel and time to freshen up
· Dinner at a restaurant located within walking distance from the hotel
Day 3 Thursday November 27th
· Full American Breakfast at the hotel
· Spend the morning at leisure to see the THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE (starts
at 8:30 am at Central Park West and 77th Street and will make its way to
Columbus Circle, east into Central Park South and then turn and head south onto
6th Avenue (Avenue of the Americas all the way to 34th street/Herald Square). The
hotel is located very close to 6th Avenue which makes it convenient to watch the
parade nearby there. We would suggest to be there early at around 8 am due to the
streets filling up early.
· Lunch on own
· Meet your guide in the hotel lobby and walk to Radio City Music Hall
· Enjoy a performance of the "Rockettes Christmas Spectacular". Since the first
version was presented in 1933, the show has become a New York Christmas
tradition.
· After the show enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving Dinner at Hurley’s.
Day 4 Friday November 28th
· Full American Breakfast at the hotel
· Spend the day at leisure to explore at your own pace.
· Enjoy a performance of New York City Ballet’s "The Nutcracker"
with transportation to and from.
Day 5 Saturday November 29th
· Full American Breakfast at the hotel
· Luggage pull and check-out of the hotel
· Meet your guide in the hotel lobby for departure transfer
