San Francisco

San Francisco, also called the City by the Bay, has its own charm and personality. Known for its cool summers, corporate headquarters, steep hills, foggy days and unique sights, this city has a lot to offer. Discover the Golden gate Bridge, Lombard street, ride up the hills on one of the world-famous cable cars, enjoy the view from Coit Tower or visit Chinatown, with lots of authentic restaurants. Explore the area around Union Square, visit the famous Painted Ladies, the Golden Gate Park, the California Academy of Science or the Japanese Tea Garden. Explore Haigh & Ashbury, a unique and colorful area where the "Summer of Love" took place in 1967. Nowadays there are individual thrift stores, bookstores, pubs and restaurants here. Visit Pier 39, Fisherman's Wharf and take a boat tour to Alcatraz. Dive into the past and experience the legendary island that was once a Civil War fort, military prison and one of the most notorious federal prisons in US history. You can also explore the beautiful surroundings of San Francisco. We can add a half-day tour to Muir Woods and Sausalito, where you can marvel at the Redwood trees. For wine lovers we can add a unique wine tour to famous Napa Valley or Sonoma County and much more!

 

Yosemite National Park (depending on time of year)

Pick up your rental car in San Francisco and drive to Yosemite National Park. Yosemite National Park is known for its breathtaking nature, picturesque landscapes, the granite cliffs of Half Dome and El Capitan, the ancient Sequoia trees and the breathtaking views of Bridaveil Falls. You can park at the Visitor Center and enjoy the museum, Ansel Adams Gallery and various shops and restaurants. We definitely recommend that you take the free shuttle (depending on the season) from the Visitor Center to experience various highlights throughout the valley.

Carmel-by-the-Sea/Monterey

After visiting Yosemite National Park, drive to Monterey/ Carmel-by-the-Sea. Located on the Monterey Peninsula, Carmel is known for its natural landscape and rich art history and is one of California's most charming small towns. The streets of Carmel are full of galleries and shops of all kinds. Strolling the back streets, you will find some hidden courtyards and gardens to explore. The tiny, bamboo-lined passage that connects Dolores Street with San Carlos Street or Mission Lane is particularly attractive. You may have heard of the 17-Mile Drive through Pebble Beach. The famous route leads through an exclusive district, past picturesque beaches, golf courses and luxury hotels. Once in Carmel, look out for signs leading to the entrance of the town, these are likely to be less busy than the main gate just off Highway 1. Just south of the city on California Highway 1, Carmel River State Beach is a beautiful spot to watch the sunset. We can also add a beautiful sunset cruise for a special experience.  

Santa Barbara

Drive from Carmel to Santa Barbara and enjoy the beautiful views and the unique nature of the Big Sur. Stop at Elephant Seal Vista Point and watch the elephant seals relaxing on the beach, before continuing to Santa Barbara. Santa Barbara, a seaside town, is made up of leafy streets, designer boutiques, amazing dining restaurants and wine tasting rooms and a shore filled with sailboats, kayaks and stand-up paddle boarders. Experience the magic along the coast. Visit East Beach, Shoreline Park or enjoy the fresh seafood at many of the fantastic restaurants. There are fantastic wineries around Santa Barbara that you should definitely visit. taste the delicious wine this area has to offer!

Los Angeles

Drive from Santa Barbara to Los Angeles, with a short stop in Malibu. Stretching along the Pacific Ocean and Highway 1, Malibu has achieved almost a mythological status among California's beach towns. Hollywood stars and top athletes live here in houses by the sea, on long beaches with unforgettable sunsets. Then continue towards Los Angeles. You will pass Santa Monica on the way. Here you can stroll through the promenades, discover the pier or relax on the beach. 
Explore Los Angeles and visit the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the Chinese Theater, Griffith Observatory and the Hollywood Sign for wonderful views of the city. Go (window) shopping in Beverly Hills and visit famous Rodeo Drive. For some extra fun times, enjoy a day at Universal Studios or Disney Land. You can also relax at the many beaches, such as Venice Beach, Newport Beach, Huntington Beach or in Santa Monica. Take in and enjoy the center of the country's film and television industry!

Las Vegas

Make your way to famous Las Vegas, located in the Mojave Desert in Nevada and known as the entertainment capital of the world. Las Vegas is also called Sin City because of its famous casinos, shopping, nightlife, gambling, great restaurants and many entertainment options. When you arrive in Las Vegas, you will drop off your rental car. Walk along the world-famous Strip and marvel at the individual hotels and casinos, especially the fountains of the Bellagio and the amazing Venetian Resort. There is always something going on here. Las Vegas is also famous for great buffets, whether it is for brunch or dinner, for the cuisine of famous TV chefs, for its amazing shows or just for some relaxation at the pool and to enjoy the weather. Discover what this unique city has to offer!

From Las Vegas, you can also add the option of a day trip to the Grand Canyon. The Grand Canyon is located in Arizona and is unique for its combinations of geological colors and different forms of erosion. The canyon is 1.6 km deep, 446 km long and in certain places up to 29 km wide. The tour is a full day tour (approximately 12.5 hours). You will travel from Las Vegas through the Mojave Desert to the Grand Canyon's South Rim. See a number of different panoramic views from different vantage points and learn about the history and geology of the canyon. Depending on availability, there is also the option of adding a 45-minute helicopter tour!
